Directions to Osage Beach RV Park at the Lake of the Ozarks / Missouri
(Because GPS cannot always find us….)
From Kansas City, MO:
Take Hwy 50 east from Lee’s Summit to Tipton. At the Tipton stoplight, turn south (right) on Hwy 5 south. Hwy 5 will merge with Hwy 52. Go left on Hwy 52 (east). Continue on Hwy 52 until you get to Eldon. At the 2nd stoplight in Eldon, (McDonald’s on the right), turn right staying on Hwy 52. Continue on Hwy 52 until you reach Hwy 54. Turn right/merge right onto Hwy 54. Approximately 10 miles west on Hwy 54, you will reach the Osage River Bridge. NEW HWY: US 54 EXPRESSWAY. Stay on the Expressway; take the exit for Hwy 42/Osage Beach Parkway. At the top of Exit Ramp (1st Stoplight), be in the left lane; go straight through the intersection but stay to the left. At the 2nd stoplight you will turn/merge left. You are now on Osage Beach Parkway North (Old Hwy 54) going North. Cross the overpass (3rd stoplight). Merge over to the right lane. Be in the right lane when you come to the stoplight at Applebees (4th Stoplight). After that stoplight there is a right merge onto Hwy 42. Walgreens will be on the opposite corner.
OR
Take the 1st Exit -BUS. 54, after crossing the Osage River Bridge. New: stoplight for Hwy 242 / Horsebend Parkway (HH). 2nd stoplight is at Bus 54 / Denny’s/Quality Inn / Eagles Landing Shopping Center. Continue heading south/west on Osage Beach Parkway (Old Hwy 54). 3rd Stoplight is: “D” Road/Barry Prewitt Memorial Dr. (Stonecrest Mall/HyVee/Target). Move into the LEFT lane as soon as possible after this light as the Right Lane vears off to the ONE WAY (Osage Beach Parkway SOUTH). Continue approximately 1/3 mile to Hwy 42 – 4th stoplight. Be in the RIGHT side of the LEFT turn lane as the Left left turn lane drops off as a turn into Prewitt’s Point.
After turning left (east) onto Hwy 42, there is a stoplight (last one!) at Columbia Blvd. After passing through the stoplight, the entrance to Osage Beach RV Park will be located almost immediately on the right (south) side of the road.
Travel Time: Approximately 3 1/2 hours.
From St. Louis MO:
Take I-70 west to Kingdom City. Exit onto Hwy 54 West (you’ll be going south). Take Hwy 54 west approximately 80 miles to the Lake of the Ozarks. Approximately 10 miles west on Hwy 54, you will reach the Osage River Bridge. NEW HWY: US 54 EXPRESSWAY. Stay on the Expressway; take the exit for Hwy 42/Osage Beach Parkway. At the top of Exit Ramp (1st Stoplight), be in the left lane; go straight through the intersection but stay to the left. At the 2nd stoplight you will turn/merge left. You are now on Osage Beach Parkway North (Old Hwy 54) going North. Cross the overpass (3rd stoplight). Merge over to the right lane. Take I-44 west to Lebanon. Exit on to Hwy 5 north to Camdenton. Approximately 1 mile south of the Camdenton Square, you will enter the NEW Hwy 5.Take the Osage Beach exit. This will put you approximately 1 mile north of the Camdenton Square. At the top of the exit ramp, you will connect to Hwy 54. Turn right to go north / or east (since Hwy 54 is an east/west highway.) Continue on Hwy 54 until you get to the Lake of the Ozarks area. You will enter the NEW HWY 54 Expressway near the Mexicali Blues Restaurant. There are 4 exits: KK, Nichols, Case, and Jeffers. You will cross the Lake at the Grand Glaize bridge. Continue on the Expressway until you reach the Hwy 42 /Osage Beach Parkway Exit. At the top of the exit ramp (1st stoplight), turn RIGHT onto Osage Beach Parkway North (Old Hwy 54). 2nd Stoplight is Applebees / Home Depot / Duncan Jewelers. 3rd Stoplight is Hwy 42; right merge onto Hwy 42. There is a stoplight at Columbia Blvd. After passing through the stoplight, the entrance to Osage Beach RV Park will be located almost immediately on the right (south) side of the road.
Travel Time: Approximately 3 1/2 hours.
(NOTE: This route is a little longer than going Hwy 63 to Hwy 42, but it is safer when towing an RV, or if you have a large RV. In addition, there are no safe places along Hwy 42 to stop or pull over which are of adequate size for an RV. Shoulders are very narrow or non-existent.)
From Springfield, MO:
